Does she really mean what it says here: that she´s supposed to stick her tongue in his behind when he mounts her? Klemmer is skeptical about what he reads, he blames it on the poor lighting. A woman who plays Chopin so marvelously can´t possibly mean that. Yet that´s precisely what the woman desires, because she has never done anything but play Chopin and Brahms.
Soon the woman will get off the high horse of Art and join him in the river of Life. She will become part of the hustle and bustle and shame. Art is not a Trojan horse, Klemmer says, tonelessly to the woman upstairs, who seeks content only in art.
